As a breathwork facilitator here at Elemental Rhythms, I am often asked: “What exactly do you do?” I always find this quite amusing because it really shows just how much confusion there is about deep breathing and the part we play. Today, I want to shed some light on our role and how we guide you on your way to well-being. 

What is a Breathwork Facilitator?

At its core, a facilitator is a trained professional like a coach or fitness instructor who guides others through specific techniques. We undergo specialized breathwork facilitator training to master various types of breathwork and learn how to adapt them to suit those in our session. 

Before leading sessions or breathwork events, facilitators such as myself, Giovanni Bartolomeo, and Misha Lee take some time to understand what each participant hopes to achieve. Some people seek stress relief, while others are interested in emotional healing or relaxation. No matter the goal, we craft each session to align with their needs for a wholly enriching experience.

Beyond this, breathwork facilitators also provide psychological support. As deep breathing can be profoundly cathartic, participants often experience significant releases of emotion. This can sometimes be overwhelming or even distressing. As support guides, we are here to help participants navigate these intense feelings.
